Baby it's Cold Outside - Update to Hot Cocoa Station

One thing that has remained since all the Christmas trims were put away is the hot cocoa station.  We still have a lot of winter left here in PA, so I decided it needed to be spruced up for the next month or two.  Then, I will definitely be ready for spring!  

Here's what I did.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a vinyl design with the words "Baby it's Cold Outside" and applied it to the mirror behind the hot cocoa bar.  Then I added a little black and white pom pom garland to the top of the mirror.  

A few other changes - the addition of chocolate covered espresso beans and Pepperidge Farm French Vanilla Pirouette wafers.   I also made some more chocolate covered spoon stirrers.  This time, I dipped each spoon in white chocolate and then drizzled with milk chocolate.  The top tier holds bags of popcorn for a quick snack to go with the hot cocoa.  

These mini chocolate chip cupcakes just seemed to fit in with my black and white theme and were on the bakery clearance rack at Walmart!!!  They just made it in time for the photo shoot and now that the boys are home, they are already half gone!

The little black and white heart plates with script writing are from Home Goods and I think they were $1.99 each.   I picked up the polka dot napkins at Walmart.  I wanted to add some black and white striped straws, but couldn't find any locally. 

So, that's my black and white, "Baby it's Cold Outside", hot cocoa station - all set for cozy evenings at home!
