A POP of Green in a Neutral Room

Thursday, January 31, 2013

If you follow my blog, you know I've been going to a more neutral color palate in my home.  The one thing I can't change in my living room is my sofa - it's only two years old and I do like it still.  It's green, but certainly not the emerald green Pantone pick for 2013.  But, like Tim Gunn says - "Make it Work"!

So, I've been adding some POPS of green to my accessories throughout the room.

Dried hydrangeas with a green hue and a little green glass candle found at TJ Maxx.

This stunning butterfly pillow from Marshall's.

I made the fern prints last year with ferns from my garden.  You can read about it here.

This blown glass jar - another Marshall's find at $4.99!

Even the moss in my planters adds some color!

Finally - my cat, Oreo!   She's in her favorite nap spot on the green sofa.  When she is bright eyed (I couldn't get her to wake up for her photo shoot!!!)  her green eyes really POP!!!!

So, with the emerald green Pantone trend, are you adding a POP of green to your decor this year?

Blessings,
